I deal with chronic pain in my neck, mid-back, and lower back. At one point, I was receiving epidural steroid shots in between my vertebrae. The better I learned how to use my body efficiently and to use the club correctly, and to stop fighting against physics, the easier it got to swing a golf club over the entire round. My main goal has been to learn how to swing pain-free. I'll drop videos the videos from YouTube …

Like this one. I searched Kinematic sequence golf swing and this video came back with the same thing. Back swing = hands, arms, upper body follow. Downswing: exactly the opposite. ▶ this video

1. Slow down/tempo. Whipping it fast around your body feels more powerful, but the secret to power is going methodically and sequencing your muscles in the correct order to optimize what the club is doing. ▶ this video 2. This is a video all beginners should watch. You’re thinking about the club whipping around your body right now rotationally. But really the club is just lifting up with your arms while the body …

Some really good stuff happening here to be honest. Setup could use some work… think you just need to stand a bit taller with less knee bend. From a swing standpoint, you’re not creating any separation. In other words, from the top of your swing, your hips, chest, and arms all move in unison. To create speed, you need to move them in the proper sequence. See here: ▶ this video

Let me know how it goes! I promise you it's not BS - here's why. What matters is that during the downswing, the feet fire, then the hips, then the torso, lead arm, wrist, club. I don't care what cueing you use, what grip, or swing style you use. The best swing style is based on what your body can physically do. That being said, as long as the sequence is correct, create a swing that works for you - just transfer …

Same reason you crawl before you walk, and walk before your run. I think distance is erroneously prioritized by rec golfers. I’m not saying distance isn’t important but keeping yourself in play affords you better opportunities for success. Play your game and within your abilities and try not to be like Tiger or anyone else you saw on the internet or TV. Don’t get me wrong, I’m just saying people that don’t …
