He’s coming over the top on the downswing. I’ll leave it to Sergio Garcia to explain. It really helped me with coming over the top. ▶ this video

Have you messed around with the Sergio Garcia "Ring the Bell" move? ▶ this video. Maybe worth a look. Also, FWIW, this lesson by Eric Cogorno really helped me figure out the right swing plane: ▶ this video

Had the same problem, this clip of Sergio Garcia really helped me. The imagery of pulling a chain down from the top of the backswing has been great for stopping my out-to-in club path ▶ this video

I think he is a tool but this advice definitely made sense to me - ▶ this video I see you having a bit of inside first move instead of a down first move.

You start rotating in your legs before you arms have even moved in the downswing. From there on the rest of your body is catching up to get itself in a position to hit the ball. Sergio Garcia has a good way of explaining it here: ▶ this video

I was an over the top swinger, but I'm more or less neutral now and if I need to, I can (sometimes) hit a draw. It took me 5 months of biweekly lessons with a coach to get it down, and take pressure off my back (thanks to a car accident which broke a vertebrae). If you have back problems, your current swing can exacerbate them. I still sometimes have off days where I come over the top and I immediately know it …

You might not be too far off. As always I advocate finding your natural swing: Sergio Garcia advocates that amateurs should start the downswing with arms first. I have a lot of lag in my swing so I'm probably biased. Check out this short video Sergio made - it might be helpful. ▶ this video

Two things you can work on is to not rotate the club so the toe is up in the backswing. Opening it up means you need to close it. Watch video 1. The other thing you’re doing is at the top of your backswing the first move your hands should make is down, not back towards the ball. Watch video 2. 1 [instagram.com] 2 ▶ this video
