I’ve struggled with the same thing! What has really helped me with swing path is feeling like your shoulders stay closed for longer in the downswing. Justin Rose has a good explanation for this. ▶ this video

Ive found this has helped me with my slices and using my hips more. When I first tried to try swing more with my hips my shots just got worse. This helped me get my hips into action and has straighten my shots more than anything else. ▶ this video

As said by another commenter before, try to keep your trail arm a bit more tucked during backswing. This will help keeping your hands more inside range at the top. As for the downswing what helped me getting more shallow was the Justin Rose drill. You might check this out: ▶ this video Repeat that slowly for a gazillion times. It will be boring as hell but ultimately lead to a more shallow swing plane and better …

Your shoulders turn to the right while your club face faces out left. Dont let your trail shoulder come forward. Shoulders shouldn't initiate the downswing. Initiate downswimg by stepping into lead foot, drop the hands straight down and turn. Let the club work through the zone. My favorite swing video: ▶ this video
