This video did it for me -- it shows exactly how pros shallow the club: ▶ this video Turns out it's a super simple movement: essentially a reverse curl with your trail arm. I literally just spent a bunch of time doing that isolated arm movement from the top of my back swing. Add in rotation, and you have a golf swing.

I’m currently in the process of going from OTT to inside to square. I started at like -6/-7 OTT and I’m average around -2 at the moment. However, this video recently is what got it to finally click for me. These guys at AMG are awesome. Their videos are based on data from tour professionals. ▶ this video The main takeaway for me is that getting your right elbow to your side to start your downswing is only half …

▶ this video Especially the part that starts at 7:44 I started in January and tried all kinds of concepts for about 4 months with mixed results. Since having seen this video I have ‘pured’ about 90% of iron shots, and the misses where max 10m short or to the side, it’s insane. Played +4 through nine (par 3 course) with 5/9 GIR and three 3-putts. This can change your whole game

Your takeaway is pretty inside, causing you to push your hands out to get back on-line, and thus OTT. I recently found this channel, and have begun analyzing my swing based on their data/analysis, and its been incredible. Checkout this video for working the hands \down\ instead of \out\. If you clean up your inside takeaway and work down instead of out, I think you'll have a pretty good swing. ▶ this video

this video blew my mind on concept of shallowing, maybe it can help you too. it broke down what the hands are actually doing vs what you think you should do ▶ this video this video talks about overswinging which should be very beneficial for you, the shorter you keep your swing the better chance you have coming back to a correct position on impact ▶ this video

Yes the whole thing about squating, extreme laying down the club, etc. seems pretty faddish, this supports you pretty well ▶ this video

You're not shallowing the club properly on the downswing. You're actually OTT and 'hiding-it' and flipping into impact vs. generating lag tension. Check out a video called "Pros vs Ams - Shallowing Like You've NEVER Seen Before" by AMG to fix where your right arm should be doing which is shown at 8:45. ▶ this video

Your backswing looks good. It’s your downswing sequence that is messed up. Your right arm does the opposite of what it should do. This video isolates what the right arm is supposed to do in transition. Watch it, but to summarize your right arm should basically go from the position it would be in at the top of a hammer curl to the position it would be in at the bottom of a supinated bicep curl. ▶ this video You can …

You have a mistaken understanding of how the golf swing works. Right now you are basically using your arms to rotate, when you should be using your torso. Arms should go basically up and down, right now you are just opening up your trail arm to swing straight back and through, here's a video that's shows good detail on what your arms are supposed to do: ▶ this video
