PLEASE WATCH THIS VIDEO. People misunderstand the hands and shaft lean. Shaft lean does not happen because the pros get their hands far forward. - that is a visual illusion from a camera angle. At impact their hands are on the trail side of the body, they have just rotated sufficiently before impact so their hands naturally come forward. Understanding the video below literally would have saved me years of getting a …

I deal with chronic pain in my neck, mid-back, and lower back. At one point, I was receiving epidural steroid shots in between my vertebrae. The better I learned how to use my body efficiently and to use the club correctly, and to stop fighting against physics, the easier it got to swing a golf club over the entire round. My main goal has been to learn how to swing pain-free. I'll drop videos the videos from YouTube …

I'm coming to believe that that is created through the actions of the rest of the swing. Good grip and take away, easy slow transition, and keeping the release of the club at the trail hip as you rotate through. I'm now learning this. This video helped me. The concept of where your hips are in relation to your hands has actually forced me to create a bit more lag in my swing. I wish someone had explained this to me …

You and I have a similar rotation problem. At impact your shoulders are roughly square to maybe slightly closed. What's been helping me is making sure to keep my hands behind the center point of my torso throughout the downswing. Having hips and shoulders open relative to the target will give you more shaft lean and a lower ball flight. Don't worry about your wrists, they should naturally do what you want if you …

▶ this video [preview.redd.it] You are 100% correct your hips are just moving forward and not rotating till your arms come through and bring them around. I was doing the exact same thing and this was the only video that broke it down and then gave me a drill to feel the hips rotate and get the shaft lean which will lead to you compressing the ball. I am now hitting all of my clubs 30 yards further. I really hope …

▶ this video I'd watch this, then also watch the face closing stuff. That should get you started. Your arm is bent likely because of how you're moving the face. You need to be starting to turn the face away from you as you start down. That sort of automatically extends the arms the right amount for most people just as a byproduct. Once you understand the shaft lean and face closure watch this: ▶ this video I think …

The athletic motion golf channel on YouTube has the actual 3D motion capture data from dozens and dozens of pros and high level amateurs. So they would be a great resource. They don't have a single video but they have it broken out if you search. Start with Grip, then their videos on a correct backswing, then on a correct downswing. They have some videos that get into the weeds a little bit but you can skip many …

It’s more about getting your body in the right position to support your hands being “forward”. A lot has to work correctly for that. Athletic Motion Golf has one of the best videos of all time on the subject that goes over a lot of misconceptions and how to do it. ▶ this video

Could be casting as others mentioned... Golf is usually a game of opposites. Almost everyone thinks the club should be on your lead side. This is wrong. It just looks that way based on the camera angle. Impact happens on your trail side. This has been captured on GEARS 3D camera system. When you drop your arms straight down this forces your body to rotate. This also makes the swing much more simple once you get use …
