OTT is usually a pretty stubborn problem to fix, and I think your problem is in transition, not takeaway. Your first move down now is rotating your shoulders, you want to start the downswing with your lower body and feel like your left arm is dropping into your right pocket. Here’s a video that’s helped me a lot: ▶ this video

I used to have a terrible slice like yours for months. This ▶ this video amongst what others have shared changed it for me. On the downswing, drop your hands down, then rotate.

▶ this video Bryson Dechambeau shows a really good way to do it here. Focus on getting club parallel with target line at p2, rotate up, then on the downswing move the hands down to your right pocket before rotating - thats the key, ie getting arms down and in front before rotating through (there is another video where he talks about this, couldnt find it) play around and try to get into these positions and you will …

Great foundation to work on! Like him or hate him, Bryson has the best drill that will help you from not throwing your right shoulder at the ball- causing the over the top move ▶ this video See if this helps

Best advice I can give you right now is what I did early on as a self taught golfer. Go to YouTube and watch a pro slow mo iron swing. Take screenshots of all the golf swing positions p1-10 and then take this video and do the same. Then every time you go to the range try to work on 1 or 2 improvements to get you closer to where you need to be in those pro golfer screenshots. First place to start I’d say is changing …

Shallowing Drills: First off, it’s hard for you to shallow because with an inside takeaway, you can’t possibly go anymore shallow and make decent contact. Once you start getting your takeaway fixed, here is shallowing. Shallowing for me is supinating my trail forearm and dropping my hands. The supination first engages the shallowing, and then the dropping of the arms is the rest. Not too difficult, just will need to …

I think the simplest thing to do is get your backswing to be slightly lower at the top. It is above your shoulder line now, and getting to the top with the club on your shoulder line will make it much easier to not come over the top. All things considered, you can make your backswing work, but it will be more difficult than if you changed it. The club has to travel a longer way to get down into "the slot" from where …

Check this ▶ this video The bit about dropping your hands to your right pocket will help keep the club on the inside path to avoid/reduce your out-to-in path.

Both would be accurate. The move from the top of the backswing or the change in direction should be a dropping motion with the arms BEFORE the shoulders start to turn. When I start going left with the ball, it’s always the path for me because I’m good at closing the club face. More importantly, talk to your instructor, he is the one you paying. The better I have gotten at knowing what Im doing the better I am able …
