I'd have to see your face on view to be clear, but it's the right hip/leg/knee that's the problem. The right hip motion goes outward toward the ball too much. Watch this video to get a better understanding of how the right hip (and left hip) should move in the downswing. I had a similar issue with the right knee and understanding this fixed it. ▶ this video

You have two major issues and fixing both should yield great results. The first issue is the chicken wing golf swing. A chicken wing is a power leak because you are losing your angles at impact, essentially trying to favor control over distance. Here's a great drill to fix a chicken wing: ▶ this video The second issue is your power sequence is off. If you slow the video down until your left arm is parallel to the …

Rotation is a pretty nebulous term that a lot of amateurs (including a lot of the people on this subreddit giving advice) misunderstand. The key piece that is missing is an understanding of how to to turn “into” your trail leg (and into your lead leg on the downswing. If you want the technical details about it (internal and external rotation of the hip joint), here is a great video by AMG. ▶ this video If you just …

Good move. Best guess is that’s it’s a trail knee/hip concept issue. Athletic motion golf just did a great video on the topic: ▶ this video Note, I’m not saying you have the ‘saggy knee’ issue referenced in the video title. The general ‘here’s how knees/hips should work’ concepts should help, though.

Used to have a similar issue. Your trail knee is kicking way in before you even get to the delivery phase, you're giving up so much in ground forces. These guys explain the saggy knee thing well ▶ this video

Normally, I wouldn't comment, but I actually worked on this exact same issue recently. Frontal video would be a better view for this, but it looks like your knees are shifting fowards instead of you anchoring your left foot as you bring your arm in front of your body, making your swing path turn inwards as your club face remains a bit more open relative to the path. You are missing 2 key concepts for the swing. 1) The Arm Swing Illusion is pistol whipping your swing and has you out of position at the top. 2) Impact occurs on the Trail Side of the Body. 3) I don't think that Drill is helping you in any meaningful way. 4) That trail leg getting locked out in the backswing is a less than ideal hip turn, and you're not actually loading into your most powerful muscle the glute. a) ▶ …

I feel compelled to clarify something. When I talk about turning about the lead hip I don't mean the lead hip is fixed, It still has to move back away from the ball so your butt stays on that imaginary wall behind you. I like to think of it like someone taking your finger prints. When they take a thumb print, after inking, they lay them thumb on it's side then roll it across the paper to the other side of the thumb. …

No. Pros do not push the knee forward like this player is doing. The fact that you are talking about club-face control at all in relation to the ball flight when the guy is literally hitting it off the hosel… smh His clubface at P6 is good. This guy has a good swing with a saggy knee problem. Here’s a video on his exact issue. ▶ this video

Practice with an old wedge under your trail heel (stepping on the face with the shaft pointed outwards). Don't let your heel come off the wedge until after impact. Your trail heel is coming off the ground super early in your downswing which allows your trail knee to do whatever it wants. "Saggy knee syndrome" ▶ this video
