A major issue you have is the trail leg being straight and locked. Your weight is not in the right place and it's causing you to compensate in other ways. Watch this video ( ▶ this video cause this is what really helped me. Notice how a lot of good players have their knees slightly bent. If you ensure that the weight in your back swing is on the inside sole (where the balls of your big toe is), and your knee is just …

OP I promise this will cure your shanks, search my comment history for “shanks” and you’ll find this same symptom on literally hundreds of posters here. It happened to me about 6 years ago for a couple months straight, literally, and it drove me into such a rabbit hole on the swing that when I found the cure, it was a literal “eureka” moment and the shanks were cured immediately. It’s because you’re loading weight …

Yeah man, I'd recommend trying your best to ignore this post entirely. Here's Xander giving a fairly approachable explanation of what you'd be much better off doing: ▶ this video

Nothing is ever fixed but it is 95% better. Also helps to have a little lateral move forward and back on the downswing to me to help with the low point. There is a good video with Xander and his coach talking about the pressure on the inside of the trail foot. Halfway through this clip ▶ this video

it looks like you let your weight get outside your trail foot in the backswing, which is a death move for timing and weight shift. Try to keep it on the inside of your trail foot throughout the backswing and into transition, it'll allow you to get left earlier and be more consistent. Basically what xander is saying here ▶ this video

I don’t think it will be tough to just will this one. Power and body control is created from your force against the ground - just concentrating on that load on your back foot being solid before the weight shift and a range bucket should be all you need. I personally felt like my game changed when I started really emphasizing pushing against the ground. Here is a good little breakdown from Xander: ▶ this video

▶ this video You should feel trail leg light up with a stretch that you're building /increasing during back swing. People feel the stretch and they try to release it so they can "turn" more and not feel that wall of resistance. Or they roll to outside of trail foot to release the tension That resistance/tension in trail side is what you want. If you can get that stretch all the way into your glute that's the finish …

Yes. On the back swing you should feel like you’re loading your trailer butt cheek. Yes it’s okay to sway forward but not necessary. ▶ this video

you're coming over the top in your downswing and not using your hips at all. if you look at impact your arms and club are way ahead and your hips haven't even turned yet. also swinging way too hard. think "100 yard shot" even with a 6 iron. for the hips you just need to work on loading on your right leg and firing off of it, making sure your hips are square to target at the end of your swing. put 20% of your weight …

You’re spinning out in the backswing. You need to load j to the trail foot and feel your chest coiling around your spine You don’t roll your ankle, but pulling a golf ball under your trail foot would give you something to load into ▶ this video ▶ this video
