You have a good mechanical swing, getting to a 5 index is proof. Any single digit ha dicap is a pretty good player. You're having the same issues as I am though. I bet you get alot of "wow you have an amazing swing" and inconsistent contact, and uncomfortable swings bother the shit out of you. I'm not exxagerating this, but ▶ this video Check out this mini series with BBG, and take a look at some of the lessons Dr. …

I was doing something very similar to you. You're not really getting enough weight transfer going. This video really helped me improve my swing and especially my weight transfer. Something about his method really clicked with me. Maybe it will help you too. ▶ this video

Check out Dr Kwons two step drill. Absolutely changed how I swing. I realized how much more the lower body needs to be involved. Then the upper just follows. ▶ this video

A big help for me was the Dr Kwon Step 1 on Be Better Golf, really helped me get the feel of what a driver is supposed to do and how those muscles work in the swing ▶ this video

Immersive hobby, huh? I've been down the swing theory rabbit hole for a lot longer than I care to admit. I love this series on youtube with Dr. Kwon. It's a research-backed, sound, and comprehensive concept that everyone can do. I think it would be helpful for almost all swings. Good luck! ▶ this video

Sequencing is the big thing here, you need to shift your weight onto your front foot, then turn your hips. Your shoulders will move with your hips naturally. If the arms are connected to your torso by flexing your lat muscles, they will also follow naturally. Then you just need your hands in the right position by timing the apex of the release to be a few clock hands past your front foot. You start the down swing …

I’ve been following this ▶ this video of his and then hitting the ball with a similar approach to yours but only at the range. And sadly not quite so smoothly. But cool to see this swing out in the wild!

Step drills are gonna be your friend on this. I'm gonna give you two videos that kind of illustrate the issue and what you should be feeling toward the top of the backswing to properly transition. The first video is more background of how to do the step drill and the second video is showing you how to get more forward. ▶ this video Pay particular attention to the way Dr. Kwon corrects Brendon (who has a better …

Thank you!! Ill def check those out! I think for me, by the end of the 2nd month I stopped trying to treat the golf swing as trying to get to different positions, but instead treating it as one whole cohesive motion. I spent the first 2 months brute forcing different maneuvers, hand drops, squats, lag, but it was just too much manipulation and as you could see I was a shank machine haha. Then I saw this video: ▶ …

Besides paying for lessons. I recently came across some videos with Dr. Kwon who works on golf swing mechanics. I think his philosophy on movement is quite easy to pick up. It could be a good starting place but ultimately private lessons will help fine tune the details. ▶ this video
