I seen my coach a couple of months ago to where he observed a little early extension in my down swing, he came back after some thoughts on fixing this and gave me the Pump drill, it has fixed my early extension and helps learn hip rotation a little better. Here is a video link to explain the pump drill better. ▶ this video

Im not a fan of movement restrictive drills (not just golf, but any sport), so I would also recommend the pump drill.. ▶ this video I also like exagerated feel drills that allow you to regress to the mean. I wanted to be able to move the ball this year a lot more instead of playing everything as a fade, and overdoing a draw swing and regressing to the mean worked well for me

I am working on the same. Instructed by my coach. 1. Pump drill ▶ this video 2. Any ball that can go between your arms like this to keep them connected. ▶ this video

Ok I’m NOT a golf coach. But there are a couple things I’m noticing that I struggled with quite a bit. For me it helped not thinking of the swing in terms of shallow or steep, but thinking about where my arms are at in relation to my chest through backswing and downswing. You get stuck behind because your arms are behind you at the top of the backswing and you early extend to try and meet the ball. You’re pretty …

This OP - you open up far too quickly, your hips / chest / shoulders are at what most PGA Tour players would call a fairly open impact position, before your arms are even half way down. As someone who also suffered from ‘spinning out’ when younger, I would look at Monte Scheinblums ‘no turn, cast’ concept, or the Justin Rose drill where he pumps his arms down whilst remaining closed. ▶ this video It will feel weird …

Try this “pump drill”…do the pump like he says, and then just open your left hip to hit the ball, keep you arms quiet - good luck ▶ this video

[preview.redd.it] It's all close as others note. Here the club is aimed over the ball, but shouldn't the shallowing move bring the club in plane in front of the ball? ▶ this video

Your overswing isn't helping but not your main issue. Should try feeling like you are only doing a half swing and you will probably actually be in the right place at the top. You open your club face at the top of your swing. Left wrist severely cupped. Then it stays open on downswing. You have a timing issue between your shoulders and arms. Because your shoulders are getting around before your arms start down it is …
