Tommy Fleetwood explaining that the first move of his downswing was his lead hip going straight back from the ball was a game changer for me. Such a simple thing but after playing for 30+ years it was the first time I ever really felt how I now think the hips are actually supposed to work in the golf swing. Total lightbulb moment. ▶ this video

Thanks for the look and comment on sequence. Will try pushing back with left heel - I’m trying a fleetwood drill where he feels his left buttock back /clear front hip . That’s helped ▶ this video

Tommy Fleetwood explains it really well and simply. Notice how the club just drops down when he rotates the lead hip back. ▶ this video

On your downswing, your left hip should feel like it is going back and to the left, instead of forward. Here's a great video that Tommy Fleetwood explains about this. He says "left hip straight back" but that is just a feel, because in reality momentum should be moving forward. It's just his "feel". Anyway, here's the link: ▶ this video

Your grip looks fine. However your hips are all over the place. You have no rotation on the back swing or down swing until after you hit the ball. Your hips slide back slightly on the back swing then forward a long way on the downswing. Also you release your hands way to early. Watch this video of Tommy Fleetwood but pay particular attention to his hips and release and compare it to your video. Good Luck ▶ this video

The hips aren’t turning. The left hip drops back. There’s a video of Tommy fleetwood saying that’s his first feel in the downswing is his hip goes straight back. Here’s the vid: ▶ this video Good luck!

Second this, feel like a face-on view would be helpful if you can video that too. This shot clip of Tommy Fleetwood talking about his basic iron setup and feel might help. In particular how he stays on top of the ball by starting the downswing with his left hip going backwards. ▶ this video

Tommy Fleetwood says this is his first move on the downswing as well. ▶ this video

I’d push the left hip back at top of swing. See Tommy ▶ this video
