You don’t have much early extension. I had early extension problems and this drill helped me. ▶ this video

I have the same issue, resulting in early extension and flipping. I have tried various things but what works for me is focusing on my end position where i open my hips more and release. I focus on doing 3/4 swing and hit even further and misses are draws instead of fades. Not there yet but just recently started this. The videos from Eric helped me ▶ this video

Probably the biggest thing I see is for sure you're early extending which blocks your turn and is causing you to "come over the top". This was a good resource for me for working on my feel for staying in posture. ▶ this video ▶ this video [preview.redd.it] You want to try to keep your butt on that line or even a little deeper.

it's 100% early extension, super obvious. You can see your head starting to lift at 8 seconds in the vid. A creative tip: "Imagine your forehead moving down and forward toward the ground during the transition instead of standing up and pulling back. This exaggerated thought cancels out the urge to lift your chest and push your hips into the ball." Excellent instruction here: ▶ this video Start with easy 3/4 swings. …

I keep thinking I have seen the worst case of early extension in this sub, and then…. ![gif](giphy|3og0IRo1EZPNnhbBV6|downsized) I’m not sure why people would advise other swing mechanics when this is so obviously the outstanding issue. Without fixing the EE, you’re screwed. There are tons of EE videos on YT, but I like▶ this video the best. Good luck, EE is a helluva difficult problem to overcome.

Take a few practice swings with your right foot flared out 45 degrees. It's simply harder to early extend from that position. Also, I've found ▶ this video beneficial

It seems bad to you because doing that without shallowing the club would definitely not help anything. You have to shallow the club in transition to achieve an impact position where your hands are ahead of the ball. This is the biggest problem for you IMO by the way... you steepen into impact which causes you to early extend because that's the only way you're really going to be able to hit it. To be clear though... …

This is a shit storm of advice- you have a bad case of early extension and are therefore doing a myriad of things wrong to allow your move to work. All of the “hold it off” or “follow though” or “get oh your left side” aren’t it. At impact you can see your hips, shoulders, and chest are almost square to the ball, the club is release and you’re sucking away. You want, at impact, to have your hips and chest quite open …
