So I used to EE among many other things and a few years ago because obsessed with building a really technically sound golf swing. The first video that really just opened my eyes to how the our body is supposed to work in the golf swing is ▶ this video one. I time stamped where they start to talk about her early extension but the whole video is golf. It is the first time I actually understood how good golfers …

Yeah absolutely, I watched all these videos and they essentially do the same thing just at differing lengths. ▶ this video -- 2 hours ▶ this video -- 1 hour ▶ this video -- 30 minutes Greg Rose fixed mine and all I had to do was understand how to move my body differently

All your power comes from the ground. I know this video is crazy long, but I think it's perfect for you. I would highly, highly recommend it, specifically for you. Its better than anything in theaters. I promise you that it's worth your time ▶ this video

Man...r/golf assholes come to r/golfswing and bitch because someone asked for help. Because of your trail elbow position at the top and the ask for how to use the ground in the swing, I want you to watch as many long form TPI videos as possible. The 1-2 hr versions which start with 30-45 minutes of a physical screening. If you can take a tpi assessment all the better. It is like a 16 point check on what your body …

You need to turn your hips through with it. Holding your hips back isn’t the fix. If your right hip rotates toward the ball, the left hip will rotate back and keep you on the butt line. This is because our hips are oblong. Early extension means you come off the butt line too early because the center of your hips has moved toward the ball. It doesn’t mean trying to keep your butt back. This actually starts to stall …

Haven't fixed it, but made improvements to it. It's been 3+ years but I always give up on fixing it once summer hits. I need to stick my butt out slightly and then near the top of my backswing feel like my left buttcheek is going forwards and away from the ball on a 45 degree angle... then rotate around it. Also a user on here recommended this video to me since you mentioned TPI ▶ this video

It seems your early extending a bit, and moving towards the ball on your downswing which seems to be why you stand so far away from the ball. ▶ this video This is something I'm working on as well. Just wished my swing looked as sharp as yours. But I'm grinding. Also take my advice with a grain of salt.

Okay. Go to 1 hour and 25 minutes. If you start missing the ball or feel like you cant reach it any more, then you need to put the ball closer to you. ▶ this video

I know it doesn't look like it but you are early extending. Mainly because you are too sat down in your setup posture and too far away from the ball, the only way for you to hit it is to shift everything including your hands towards the ball during the downswing. You need to have slightly straighter knees at setup and instead of just bending at the hips, kinda just sag your shoulders and relax your arms. Also stand …

I don’t think anything about a golf swing will inherently feel natural… it’s probably the 1 weirdest sport. But with the correct drills, it can become more natural. It looks like you get very jerky with your hips at the very end of your swing because you know that’s something that you should do… but I think you’re not using your lower body (correctly/at all) which is making your swing look much more forced than it …
