I just fixed mine. I had it for my whole life and made it a priority to figure out coming off an injury because I was starting to watch video of myself and noticed it was still going on. A few videos combined fixed it. ▶ this video video and ▶ this video video both helped me understand the mechanics of everything that was going on, and gave me an idea of how to fix it, but then I had absolutely no feel whatsoever …

First thought is that you “hump” the ball pretty hard. On the downswing your hips move towards the ball and it causes you to stand up on impact, I’m guessing your struggle with ball striking. Try swinging with your butt up against a wall and not letting it come off the wall, you should feel your left cheek driving into the wall. I’ll also link a couple really good videos that should help explain it better. You …

▶ this video That video does a good job of explaining. Basically, you want to do a better job of maintaining your spine angle through contact while not casting the club. That will ensure more consistent contact than trying to hit the ball with early extension mechanics.

These are good videos to understand easy things to work on. This is how your left wrist should be set. This is through impact, your wrists don’t flip. ▶ this video This has a good drill to stop extending. ▶ this video I’m a fan of the simplicity of the Good Good Lab videos. Lots of stuff that is more complicated, but these are good to review for quick drills.

So a couple things. There’s 2 things that are related and contribute to early extension. If you lose your wrist angle too early on the down swing, your club will hit the ground 2 feet behind the ball. Your body knows there is no way to hit the ball unless you stand up (and early extend). Similarly if your left hip moves deeper behind you (not down the line) it keeps your spine angle down. And it will keep your …

You're releasing the club too early from the top: [preview.redd.it] The step drill will help you with sequencing. You can watch this video to understand better how throwing the club forces you to extend: ▶ this video But you're not far off honestly. You have a great move through the ball. It's just finding that feeling of: 1. Maintaining posture in the backswing, sitting into the downswing. 2. Holding off the club

yes your hips will move but its more of a rotation. there is a thing called disassociation in golf and that is where someone can control their upper body separate from their lower body. you want your hips to start your downswing transition and helps create the lag in the arms to simulate a whipping/slingshot motion. you are in a really good position already, if you can work on early extension and disassociation, you …

Your hips get trapped . Cause you a lot of early extension. I would assume you don't hit the ball as far as you would like despite having a good amount of club head speed. Look up ▶ this video

it's really difficult to explain, you need to see a coach. You're early extending, maybe this might help, maybe not. ▶ this video

You appear to be extending early in the swing and releasing the club too early in your swing your body hasn’t had time to rotate to give you better use of the ground force or lag. You also hinge very late in your swing. I’d say work on your weight shifting and wrist hinge as well as maintaining that wrist hinge in the downswing (this will help generate lag). But also your swing is disconnected when you get to the …
