In the absence of lessons (yes, this can be done without lessons). find a drill/feel that works for you. One way or another the arms have to “fall”. The fix will vary from person to person. Some by focusing on the shoulder, some by tucking the right elbow, and there’s many other ways to get the feel. Try different drills until you get the one that works for you. This is what worked for me: ▶ this video

First, get a 7 iron in your hands. Then, work on addressing your over the top swing. I'm no coach as I'm working on this as well. Good news is that I've made a lot of progress. I've watched a ton of videos and most really didn't help. However, one that did help me get a better feel of what some are telling you (dropping your hands/arms) is this one... ▶ this video Where I've found it particularly helpful is at the …

▶ this video Your body/brain already knows how to create lag/get the club in the slot if you frame it differently.

I’ve been working on it too. Mike Malaska has a ▶ this video that helped me fix it. After that, I’d work on not sliding your hips forward in the down swing. You want to twist your hips like ▶ this video.

You're pulling the club to the inside on your take-away and then coming over the top. I'd look up Mike Malaska on YouTube. I'm a big fan of his teaching method. ▶ this video ▶ this video

There are as many fixes for over-the-top as there are golfers. The best one for me is giving the left hip a little head start (or bumping it forward) from the top (▶ this video . But there are plenty of others. Some other favorites: ▶ this video ▶ this video

Your practice swing hits the ground about two inches closer to you than where you address on the rug. It’s just another sign that the ball makes a big difference. I’d recommend practicing with a really drastic feel/drill like “the malaska method” ▶ this video

I meant to say that you cease to get your arms into the slot...(edited now). You need to get into that slot, you're still over the top. So, watch a video like Mike fixing this guys swing, this is the direction you want to head I think. I didn't watch this whole thing, but found this snippet that is more of what you need maybe watch the whole thing as well. ▶ this video

To be honest I have the same thing. Nowadays I take more breaks between the balls on the driving range. This is how I try to imitate the pause between hitting the ball on the golf course ▶ this video
