Here’s a drill that helped me: ▶ this video I’m no pro but if you could also try pausing at the top and really exaggerate the club dropping down into that slot position.

I have this problem myself with driver. Youre coming over the top something fierce. You can get away with with the over top with irons and hit them good as long as you close the club face. The low lofted driver is difficult to overcome without shallowing the downswing. These videos have helped me tremendously. Your are just barely over the top. Just couple degrees. To straighten out the path I would try the wall drill ▶ this video When doing the drill really try focus on the feeling of your arms and wrist straighten. Right now it looks like you get a little narrow with the arms coming down.

Do you see what's wrong the swing? You are hitting weak, wipey, steep, over the top. It's very wrong. That being said it probably feels normal and fast to you. Consider that your natural motion is incorrect. And that positive deviations from what feels natural to you are going to feel weird, odd, wrong. Understand this. You are not going to do some drill and go ahh that feels amazing I got it now. You are going to …

When you get to the top of your backswing, imagine the clubhead is dropping vertically rather than towards the ball. This is the video ▶ this video If you do this it WILL fix the biggest issue here which is club path. You might need to adjust club face after that but that's just an aim thing you can do later Your right heel's coming up because your balance is moving forward but the heel doesn't matter.

Your downswing is super jacked up … mostly because of how steep and over the top you are .. there’s a multitude of things you need to try to get the downswing into the proper slots … I’d probably start with this wall drill ▶ this video It’s not gunna be a quick fix and you’ll probably shank and mishit a lot of balls in the process but it’s something that has to change or you’ll never improve as much as you want .. …

u/KunaiForce 2025 · r/GolfSwing · in “Why does my swing look like it’s all arms?”

Actually doing this isn’t that bad. A 3/4 swing is ok. The big thing here is that your left glute needs rotate and push back while your head needs to move towards the ball. It’ll give your arms more room to rotate through. So head push forward at impact. Left glute needs to be pushed out more (towards the left side of the screen). The last thing is that you need to the club behind you on the downswing. Try to bow …

Shorten the backswing. It looks like you are really tall, with long arms. You can absolutely afford to shorten it. Rory McIlroy is fricken 5'9" and he doesn't take it as far back as you. You will have way more control over your shots and it's pretty unlikely you'll lose any distance. Also, the club needs to move away from the ball at the top of the swing. ▶ this video Make sure you get the club moving away from the …

You swing to the left. Its seems like you try to tackle that issue by swinging your arms on a very shallow plane. However, that will not stop you from swinging to the left. You have to learn how to drop the club head under the plane NOT THE ARMS. Getting the club a bit across the line at the top will assist you in dropping the clubhead more behind your back and under the plane. ▶ this video This short gives a simple …
