Yes it is hurting you. I can relate, since I had a very similar swing that caused major lower back pain. I did a lot of research and committed to changing the swing (really messed up my game for a while, so if you commit to it, be ready to play some bad rounds) and now I'm mostly pain free. You look quite tall, as I also am and this will just increase the lever forces that are put onto your lumbar spine. You have …

I had the same issue as you (S-curve). Ive heard about rounding over the top of the back but I couldn't get it into a routine where it felt right. Here's a ▶ this video where Gankas talks about it. After getting used to (how to setup with the upper rounded back) it totally freed up my hips in the backswing and more importantly the downswing. Game changer for sure. Hope it helps.

For me it was a setup issue. If you’re not properly set up you’re never going to be able to rotate in balance. ▶ this video Here’s a good video that helped me.

Set up is too athletic. Straighten your legs a bit, this should allow for more movement during swing and let left hip to rotation. I struggled with crazy toe shots until I watched this video. ▶ this video

I think you should be fine. I think the knee locking out comes directly from your set up. 1. Setup needs some work you have your weight all too far back and need to me in more of an upright position. Think your knee caps are almost over the balls of your feet. Here is a incredibly comprehensive video from George Gankas. He’s one of the best coaches in the world. ▶ this video

Ignore the people who add nothing when commenting and waste everyone’s time. Just one bit of advice could change someone’s entire golf future and increase their enjoyment level. It’s all setup. Your armpits are improperly well over your shoes at address. ▶ this video 13 min in that video explains this. You can fix your setup and then magically your EE, flipping and a bunch of other issues will go away. Or you can just continue to TRY REALLY HARD to not do those things during the quarter of a second of downswing and never fix it. The essential problem is due to the setup you’re in a bad spot …

I'm a similar handicap so not making any suggestions, just noticed something that I recently had a lesson on and now working on myself. You do the same as I did, setting up with your hips pushed quite far back and your upper body forward (especially on the iron swing). [imgur.com] You can see how far your hips are behind the line compared to the pro and then your torso has to be forward for balance. The video gives …
