I posted this for someone else. Stu Cartwright change my grip and transformed my game. Watch this grip series. Next level stuff. Pro tip - watch the last video first but circle back and watch the rest. His videos aren't that well organized. ▶ this video Compare to this. Very similar. Love Padraig's videos - also not super well organized but better titled in general. ▶ this video I also thought this was a great …

▶ this video This is a great grip video. Also look into getting a grip trainer and just get used to holding the club and wiggling it all different directions (forward and back, side to side, circles, 8’s). I just recently had my coach drill me on the importance of the grip and how 10 minutes a day while watching tv is all you need to quickly improve.

With the angle of the video it’s a little tough to tell but it looks like your left hand might have a very weak grip. You have a few common swing faults but your club face is at a very weird angle as you make contact. It all starts with grip. I love Paddy Harrington’s YouTube account and he has a great explainer: ▶ this video Good luck!

1. Get your grip right. Paddy has a good video on gripping the club correctly. Your lead hand is quite “weak”. ▶ this video 2. Move the ball up in your stance for driver. It should be on line with your left heel. 3. Take a smaller backswing. You shouldn’t be taking a big enough backswing to where your lead arm bends like that. Club should be in front of your sternum the whole time. 4. At the top of your backswing it …

Yeah that’s not bad for a six iron. Maybe try a few with the ball rather fit in the middle of your two feet instead of slightly closer to your lead foot. The grip is the big one though. I wish I was joking about the Padraig Harrington thing but I actually found it again. It’s the last 60 seconds of this video ▶ this video But if you have 8 mins, I’d seriously consider watching the full thing. It’s the best grip …

Most grip it too lightly because they don't know how to grip it firmly while not tensing up the rest of the arms. Make sure you can take a bunch of swings without your grip moving AT ALL. Listen to Paddy: ▶ this video

I'm more concerned about your grip than anything else. I see your grip of beginners all the time. Your grip may feel powerful, but it isn't. The power comes from the fingers. Change your grip to a neutral one and hold it in the fingers. NEVER the palms. Here are two videos from Paidrage Harington teach a proper golf grip. ▶ this video ▶ this video That'll help you in the long run because so many beginners have …

Hear what tour player Paddy has to say about your grip. Should be in fingers & lead thumb pad on top. Never have trail hand under grip “you will hit the first couple of shots good then you will be ruined for the rest of your life” ▶ this video Hope this helps

Watch this video. And I would suggest watching a bunch more of Paddy’s videos. I think he explains things really well in lay terms. I’m from Irish heritage, so I might be biased, but I think he’s a really great teacher. ▶ this video

Should be holding the club in your fingers more I think, but I’m not great. I’ve always find these super helpful. Padraig Tips. ▶ this video
