The foundations of the golf swing are grip, posture and alignment. I wouldn’t worry too much about alignment for now, just watch: – ▶ this video – ▶ this video Forget about everything else. You’ll see once you’ve watched these that you’re stood way too upright and close to the ball. Stand tall, flex your knees a little and hinge forward from your hips. Weight in the balls of your feet, arms hanging vertically from …

Great takeaway and back swing dude! I’d say your posture at set up might be causing some issues. Notice the butt is not sitting over the heels but sitting back behind. I’d suggest standing a little farther away and getting your butt over your heels. It’ll give you more room to cover the golf ball in the downswing. Although early extension isn’t evident in the video, I’d imagine it shows up time to time for you …

I assumed that was the case. Most peoples first reaction to shanks is to stand further from the ball... that sounds like a good idea.. but it \usually\ just makes the shanks worse. Take some time in front of (or beside) a mirror and practice your address position. Study this video closely and make sure you're hitting all the check points: ▶ this video There's one thing they mentioned that was an eye opener for me: …

Nope not true. Watch some YouTube videos by Porzak Golf regarding the stance. He teaches it correctly. There a bunch but here’s one. ▶ this video

I’d treat shallowing as result of correct actions. Don’t try to do it manually. I would suggest focusing on your setup. It really looks like a posture problem. Porzak golf has a great video. Check this one : ▶ this video

Absolute beginner fundamentals are missing. Don't listen to any specific advice concerning swing changes. There are many way to swing the golf club, but fundamentals are consistent. I recommend getting lessons first a foremost. Limit instruction to one or two individuals this keeps your swing "consistent". . But if you're going to go down the self taught route, here are some basics to get you starting. \ Grip: ▶ …

If those are standard, you'll eventually want to get fit to see what is the most comfortable and produces correct results. This is a rough chart, but there are other factors to find the right length. My coach told me I'm standing too close to the ball like you. Check out these two vids from Porzak: ▶ this video ▶ this video

Great to see ya out there hitting balls!! Now, onto your swing. Set up: ▶ this video Start of your backswing: ▶ this video Run off at the top: ▶ this video AND the hip bump for easy, pain free rotation: ▶ this video Over all, less is more, you do not have to swing for the fences every swing, you don’t hit the ball in the backswing but it is the real key for consistency!!

Setup needs a complete overhaul. Your hips are way too far back. Weight should be on the front half of your foot. ▶ this video [preview.redd.it]

You mastered the shank! think about it, the hosel is way smaller than the club face, the future is bright! Give a bit more air between you & ball I think that should correct the hand issue mentioned before, likely your setup is triggering the whole thing. Check this out ▶ this video
