Arm rotation changes the pitch of the shaft. You can bow the wrist but it does not change this, which means the clubhead stays behind your hands from the down the line view This means you will essentially drag the club to the ball. The shaft is steepening the entire downswing in a pro level swing. Sasho has discussed Adam Scotts torque on the grip as being significantly left with closure even though it doesn't …

At the top, your club is pointing left (laid off) need to get that more down the target line so you can bring the club back down on plane. thumbs should be pointing more over your right shoulder. ▶ this video

Yes at impact and through there is a wrist release. I am saying that DJ, Colin, Rory, Scottie, JT, etc either cup, bow, or keep a flat wrist very early on in the swing. And that might change but effectively they are keeping that flat, cup, or bow in their wrist from early in the backswing prior to release. That set wrist point keeps their wrist into a general place where they are not actively manipulating to square …

Face is shut in the backswing and you’re taking it away flat and dropping it flatter. You need to vertical hinge and arm lift in your backswing to start and go from there. Watch this video: ▶ this video It’s about the “motorcycle move” but it applies to you because you need more and lift and vertical hinging of the wrist.
