Doesn't look that steep although a face on angle would help diagnose better. Here's a drill ▶ this video Can't believe they'd let you hit balls in that weather. Can't pick a range if the balls are plugged.

Thanks for the detailed advice man, I watched the video will work on trying those poses in the net. Like you say I think my brain struggles to comprehend being able to strike the ball properly and compress it without hitting very down on the ball… the hands moving up is such a hard thing to train and get used to. I found this drill the other day and have been trying it ▶ this video
