What exactly does the term “lag” mean to you? People have so many misconceptions about it that it is important to clarify what the intent here is. Trying to hold certain angles or trying to get your hands way in front or ahead will actively hurt your swing. You need to be releasing lag to transfer speed to the ball. AMG goes over a lot of misconceptions about lag (and shaft lean). ▶ this video

Watch this video, these guys are great at explaining what lag is, and why too much of it can affect distance and overall consistency. ▶ this video There’s a lot of great pieces in your swing. Id kill for tempo like yours. I wouldn’t change too much outside of your initial downswing move, then any changes that may come from that (activating your lower body more and not as much cupping your wrist.) I wouldn’t …

Too bad what he's telling you is based on 2d pictures and an optical illusion. Tour pros do in fact cast the club.. the wrist motion is called Ulnar deviation. But they don't make this motion down the line or straight to the ball. The club is actually "casted" behind them and the force from their rotation actually keeps their angle. A 2D picture doesn't see this. However, 3D motion capture equipment, like GEARS that …

Just remember that when people here say you need more lag, realize that you can't just hold the lag longer and fix your swing. ▶ this video ▶ this video

▶ this video check out that video, it describes holding lag in your wrist. I like to feel as though the club stays behind my right shoulder as long as possible. heres another video ▶ this video note at the 2 min mark how hes using his arms to drop the club, but the wrist angles aren't being release. you want to be active with getting the club down early, this will allow you to keep good posture, and not have to …

Sorry I don’t have any drills that I use but here’s a good video to give you a sense of what should be happening. ▶ this video Just a heads up. When you start doing this you will probably be making worse contact. You also have to change how you release the club. Here’s a good video of what it should look like. ▶ this video Good luck man, golf sucks lol.
