▶ this video Here is a good example. I think an underrated but super crucial part of the golf swing is getting to post your lead leg early on the downswing. Look at Colin’s hip turn from the top you’ll notice that he rotates until club is parallel to ground then from there his hips are already clear for his hands to go through so he doesn’t have to turn at all from there instead he just throws the hands and uses …

Taylor Made has a bunch of these of various golfers. I think my favorite is Collin Morikawa’s iron swing. Absolute art. ▶ this video

The 'arm swing illusion' video link above does a good job explaining the concept. This video from Danny Maude helps you put it into practice. ▶ this video Here's an example of Colin Morikawa's swing in slow motion where you can see his hips pointing forward at the time of impact which means his arms are lagging behind his hips and this gives you the most club head speed at time of impact ▶ this video You will have …

The swing is not an arms swing, if you want power and consistency you need to turn your body ▶ this video Watch this ten times and do the same in the mirror, there's a ton of detail in there.

Post the down the line. In a very general sense it looks like you have a feel for timing and effort that is deceiving you. There isn’t much difference between downswing/backswing tempo in your video. It should be significant in slow mo. Look how long this backswing takes compared to downswing. Also notice how assertive the lead leg drive is and how long it takes to snap. ▶ this video The correct tempo is similar to …

everyone is saying back up, but you're also all arms at impact, no hip rotation. Look at your impact position vs ▶ this video, and look at the difference in hips. I'd work on that over anything else, the other things may fall into place

At the top of your backswing you are falling towards the target. You have to learn to pivot without swaying. ▶ this video

u/Jay101V2 2022 · r/golftips · in “my stock PW swing. is that enough spin to hold greens? should I get stiff shafts?any other tips?”

Spin rate is fine for the ball speed - the number you should be worried about is your smash factor. It’s a little blurry for me so I may be wrong, but it looks like the smash is 1.14. This number is your ball speed divided by your club head speed, essentially how well you’re striking it. PGA average with a PW is 1.26. I would be aiming to get your smash with a PW to an average of 1.2. This will come from compression …

Is that really a big deal? Colin Morikawa lifts at basically the same point as this guy, very early in the downswing ▶ this video

u/triiiiilllll 2023 · r/GolfSwing · in “What do you think I’m doing wrong”

This is bad advice. What do you see Morikawa's left hip doing? It bumps forward on the downswing along with rotation. All good iron players do this. You can't have a good swing if you're just trying to spin your hips without the pelvis shifting a few inches to the target. ▶ this video

Weight transfer. Watch your right foot, its heel doesnt leave the ground until after contact, indicating that youre not fully transferring your weight until after you hit the ball, most likely causing weak cuts/slices. You should begin transferring your weight to your front foot on your downswing. Watch Morikiawa's backfoot in his swing here: ▶ this video

I would take a video of your swing face view and do a very slow motion backswing. Compare it to a swing you like from the same view. Take a look here. You don’t even see Collin’s lead leg until right before the 3/4 mark ▶ this video
