EE is a symptom, and you need it because you have to throw the club out earlier than you want to try to close the face. You need to learn to turn your palm and arms to close the club, that allows you to not stand up as much so early and not throw the club out. A push means your face is open to the target, with a matching path, so you need more face closure. ▶ this video They go into quite a bit of detail.
