Swinging too hard from the top and spinning out/OTT. No one online can really help you from this phase but 1-2 lessons from a pro can probably get you way more on plane and get your body moving a little better. This is my favorite video of all time btw and helped me a lot when I was in a similar phase as you: ▶ this video

▶ this video where you pin your elbows to your rib cage worked for me as well. Takes your arms completely out of the swing and makes you use your body for lateral movement.

This should explain it to you conceptually. But doing it in place means making the action so the club is just moving perpetually back and forth back and forth to train you what the golf action is. Here is hogan demonstrating it too. ▶ this video

Tempo and angle have nothing to do with it. You need to feel that your arms are more connected to your body. ▶ this video Hit some balls like this, then try to add that feeling to your full swing. Like I said, the bones of your swing are good. You're just losing a lot of power and compression because your arms are getting disconnected at the top.

You're trying too hard to "hit" the ball. You want to swing freely in a nice wide arc and the ball just gets in the way. Check out this old swing drill from Ben Hogan, still gold all these years later. ▶ this video

Ohhhh I get you. Actually, I think Hogan summarized it best in this particular video. Obviously there’s a lot more than just what’s in the video, but it simplifies the concept, establishes tempo and limits wrist overrotation. Kids and beginners all need to be eased into concepts, this is why you’ll typically see bickering amongst opinions when there’s a psychology involved with how you simplify and deliver certain …

▶ this video I know it's old but he's the best ever. Do this drill over and over again putting your focus on pushing with your right foot and glute forcing your hips to rotate allowing the club to follow. Tee the ball. Stay connected even if it feels like you're not doing a full backswing. It'll feel weird at first but you'll feel more power and control with the shortened swing. It will also feel like you are …

▶ this video It would also help to practice taking swings on a hill where the ball is higher relative to your feet.

[preview.redd.it] 2. Your shoulders aren’t rotating enough in the back swing. Which is why your lead arm is bending at the top. You should be getting around 90° of rotation in your lead shoulder. 3. The same way you keep your back elbow tucked to your body, try keeping your lead elbow closer throughout the swing as well (▶ this video). I’m guessing with breasts it may be a natural instinct to work around them. I’m …

I would focus on keeping your club on plane on the backswing, try to turn your hips about 45 degrees and your shoulders to a full 90 degrees on your backswing. (Your back should face the target). I would also advise as a newer player to make sure your grip is set properly. Here is a video of Ben Hogans 5 lessons that focus on the above: ▶ this video Here’s is a video explaining swing plain and some drills from Max …
