Jim Walden is the guy - these 2 videos were game changers for me - I made some changes (feel vs real) but end result was on point Here are the 2 YT videos back from the VHS days ▶ this video ▶ this video This concept is brought up so much on the golf subs - I feel like these videos should be pinned on our wiki or something

Something clicked for me after watching these videos: ▶ this video ▶ this video Also, it's going to be tough to figure things out if you can't actually see the ball flight (at least sometimes). If the range is far away, I'd consider getting a launch monitor so you can at least have some sense of what's happening. Something like the Raosodo MLM2Pro would let you use the outdoor setup you already have.

Also your arms come way inside on the backswing. Watch ▶ this video explaining why a lot of amateurs swing too far inside (behind). It's really crazy how much more in front of your chest your arms should actually be. This video helped me a lot

This video was the key for me understanding how to properly swing a club. I was like you trying to swing using my arms to create almost a pendulum action. The correct golf swing engages the lower body by rotating the hips and simplifying the arm motion. It's an old video but is still one of the best at illustrating the common misconception beginner golfers make when trying to emulate a golf swing. ▶ this video

Your hands are pulling you out of position. You’re basically over-rotating. I’m only saying this bc I’m also new but I just fixed this problem last week and your swing looks very similar to mine before. I watched the below video and everything clicked. There’s no “backswing”, you’re really just rotating your spine and raising your arms. There’s no “pulling back” like in baseball. It’s an illusion! Pretty neat. ▶ …

This video really cleared it up for me how the backswing should work. You're still taking it back inside and it's because there is too much lateral movement in the takeaway. ▶ this video

You should be turning with your hips and chest. The hardest lesson to learn in golf, for me, was that my arms don’t swing the club. My hips, and my chest swing the club in the backswing and the downswing. ▶ this video and ▶ this video helped me a lot.

▶ this video Watch this video starting at about 5 minutes. It looks like you’re bringing your lead arm way too close to you chest which is a pretty weak position. ▶ this video This video talks about the backswing illusion that plagues so many amateurs.

Don’t listen to these jerks. Three things. 1) You are all arms. Check out this video on the Arm Swing Illusion. I recommend it when I see folks that are very arm dominant in their swings. It usually means you mental concept is hurting you. This video is a bit dated but the content is classic. ▶ this video 2) You should learn where to place your camera when videoing a swing.
