If your “golf” is going to be hitting the ball as hard as you can at the range or Drive Shack or maybe a simulator game, do whatever you enjoy. If you want to get good at golf, stop what you’re doing now. You are ingraining bad facets into your swing that will only be worse - and harder to reverse- by the time you get lessons.
