Hey I had the exact same problem, watch this ▶ this video I had to exaggerate hard to nearly getting the feeling of my arms dropping behind me. Reconnecting that arm to the chest in the downswing was the key.

I mean look at any pro swing. The elbow almost always "disconnects" in the back swing. It reconnects in the down swing. If you reconnect early you have a shallower swing. If you disconnect much later your swing is steep. Watch this from athletic motion golf. They have legit data on thousands of swings from Pros and teach based off that data. This talks about that trail arm and "connection" ▶ this video

That makes a lot of sense as I look at your swing. Something to consider: Abandon the connected trail elbow concept. It might be causing some of your issues. Check out this video from the AMG Golf guys. They describe why lifting with the trail elbow is beneficial. ▶ this video

Look up the step drill on YT, it will help you massively in learning to shift weight earlier and how to use your left foot to push off more. As it is you kind of just roll onto the left heel through impact and it’s too late as well. You want to feel more like you’re pushing up and away from the ball with the left foot. It will help rotate your pelvis open at impact. You also rotate the upper body open too soon at …

The thumbs need to push down to the ground, or ulnar deviate, this lowers the clubhead and the forearms and hands need to rotate. That's your thumbs turning to point at the ball and the target. So they're going down out and around. It might actiwlly need to feel away from the target from the top. Do this so the club is synced up on your trail side. Not at the ball ▶ this video Here's a new video they posted that …

▶ this video They cover most of it here. Watch this, and pay close attention to the orientation. It's not across the chest. You do this with body rotation so the arm looks like it should move across on video but it's actually not in a pro swing.

You have your trail arm glued to your side the entire swing. You need to let this lift in the backswing. If you don’t, the only option you have left is to completely fold your trail elbow and pull your lead arm way across your chest, both of which are things you definitely don’t want to do in the swing. ▶ this video

You have a nice move, but you're very steep and your arms are late. Lay your right arm down your right shirt seem early in the downswing, don't throw your hands at the ball. ▶ this video ▶ this video ▶ this video [instagram.com] [instagram.com] [instagram.com] [instagram.com] [instagram.com] [instagram.com] [instagram.com] [instagram.com]
