▶ this video i spent 50£ with my local pro for a lesson and he said i should do this at the range as much as possible - ive used it and its insane how much it helps. put a basket behind and aim to roll the ball back into it. I guarantee if you dont, the second ball will be going off diagonal towards you instead of straight back

Yeah I mean it really depends on what’s happening in the downswing. I would listen to coach. My swing has gotten better since I sorted out the inside takeaway. Try the nelly Korda drill if you haven’t already ▶ this video

I would say that you have an outside takeaway. A way to fix that is to put a ball behind the clubhead at address and on your takeaway keep your club head on the ball as long possible without leaning and making sure the ball goes straight back. This keeps your hands low and on the correct path in the takeaway. It'll feel like you are taking it super inside but you will most likely be on plane. ▶ this video I would …

2 things I can see. 1) Nelly's drill for your takeaway would be helpful to drill the correct feeling: ▶ this video If you have room in your brain for 2 takeaway thoughts, I try to imagine dragging my clubhead across the ground (just) until my trail foot then taking off. 2) Initiating your downswing to stop coming over the top: ▶ this video Zach's video is the best on YouTube to help with this feeling. Upper part of the back by the shoulder should be more arched, like this. And look at where her head is looking. ▶ this video

Those are the worst- couple things that will fix this in the short term: 1) try opening your stance (lead foot back with the other on plane). This can help get you open to the right side and cut the ball. 2) slow your hands down; when your hands are quick they turn over and if they do you will come across (snap) the ball and it’s the hook. 3) be careful with this one, but you can slighting bring the club back …

For starters.. Work on your shoulder rotation using the split hand grip drill ▶ this video and another simple takeaway drill ▶ this video Combine both of these to help get you on plane.

Your'e hands are too far back and you are coming around through impact. Try to get your left arm to be more vertical at the top of your swing. Then pull your hands straight down throug impact. Nelly has always had a great example of the ideal swing. ▶ this video

u/scottiedagolfmachine 2026 · r/GolfSwing · in “How to fix a snap hook in golf? What actually worked for you?”

Backswing could be an issue. Those that want to hit a draw have a tendency to bring the club too far inside in the backswing. That ironically causes bigger hooks. In golf, you gotta do the opposite. To hit a mini draw, you want to actually feel as if your backswing stays out and wide. Think of this Nelly Korda drill. ▶ this video
