That’s because you’re probably shoving your hands forward to try to get shaft lean. You’re doing it wrong, you need to get the hands to your back hip and turn it into the ball. Don’t let the hands go “forward” they will go forward with momentum, but we don’t swing them laterally to our front leg. This will automatically shallow you the correct way. ▶ this video And they have a new video: ▶ this video

The way your arms swing - especially the trail arm. You despreately need to change your concepts of how the arms work in the swing - watch the video below as soon as possible. Do the drills, a lot - this movement pattern will be very hard to break if not addressed soon ▶ this video

Watch this video to understand the arm movements ▶ this video I found it helpful once I started to focus on the upper part of the right arm 'lifting' in the backswing and then lowering in the downswing. Your swing you kinda go out (away from your body) in the takeaway. Then the arm elevates and re-routes while having a 'flying right elbow' (lots of right arm abduction). AMG Golf did have another video talking about …

Okay well it might feel like a pretty big change, but it’s something that is important to work on in the long term. You trail arm has to lift slightly, and the reconnect to your side in the downswing. This is a big component of distance (but you still need it even if you aren’t chasing speed). Athletic Motion Golf has a ton of videos on the concept, I just picked one of them here but there are others if you need. ▶ …

I'll mirror what some of the other posters are saying, inside takeaway and hands near your shoulder look like the biggest issues. ▶ this video might help you

In general terms (technically incorrect because I am oversimplifying for the sake of a reddit comment) your trail elbow really doesn't move in the golf swing. it basically stays connected to where it is at address, and works on the same plane as the spine angle as your trail forearm works upward as the elbow folds. Yours works signficantly behind your body, which is probably a combination of your trail arm pulling …

At first I didn't see but I think I understand. Your backswing picks up early then flattens late. Your trail arm bends and pulls back rather than lifts. Athletic motion golf AMG has several videos describing trail arm movement in the swing. One recent one I think If you think trail arm lifts rather than pulls, something they call lawnmowering, it will help you feel that higher hands at the top. ▶ this video

Not quite, more in the backswing. The shoulders turn in the takeaway and then pull the hips around. You don't want too much or too little. Like most things in golf you want Goldilocks, just enough. ▶ this video Lift and lower your right arm down your \right\ side ▶ this video Your lead arm is pinned to your chest too long [instagram.com] [instagram.com] [instagram.com] [instagram.com] Familiar?
