Before you go too far down any rabbit holes, that is a flawed concept. The arms and elbows don’t get in front of you in good golf swings depending on how exactly you mean that. The trail elbow is still behind your trail hip at impact. I highly recommend this great video from AMG that has objective measurements backing up that claim. ▶ this video I can gladly follow up with more info or drills if you need, I just …

▶ this video The elbow doesn't get in front of your ribs. It gets to your side and you turn. Every single PGA tour does this, they don't get the elbow in front. It's a huge myth that has been pushed all over golf instruction for a long time. Just get it to your side, lower your hands to your trail thigh and turn into the ball. Yeah leading with the trail elbow just doesn't happen in decent swings, trying to force that is gonna make you worse. AMG have loads of information on this, e.g. ▶ this video

I just think your hand path is too far in to out. The club gets behind you a little and the hands fly out toward the ball late. Trying to swing the arms past you etc can do this Your knee could be impacting it but I just think it’ll clean itself all up if you have the correct intention with the arms and club. You definitely don’t want to start trying to restrict lower body movement. ▶ this video
