On the putting note - i would reccomend getting the perfect practice mat. It has two holes (one just the size of the ball). Also if that course has a practice green, drive over and work on putting drills there. For chipping, 100% new wedges will help. What balls are you playing? With how much of a beginner you are you shouldnt be hitting any flop shots except in practice. When chipping put the ball in the front of your stance to hit it high and in the back to hit a low spinner. This phil mckelson video changed my game for the better. ▶ this video
